Penketh Gymnastics is a community not-for-profit gymnastics club established in 2006. We have over 20 hours of recreational gymnastics classes available to boys and girls of school age as well as variety of pre-school classes. We also have several gymnastics squads, selected from our most promising recreational gymnasts, who compete regionally and nationally.

Lead by head coach Sarah, we have 16 fully qualified coaches and 8 young leaders, 4 of whom are training for their level 1 coaching certificates. All of our coaches and young leaders are committed to encouraging the next generation of gymnasts to love the sport and achieve their full potential.

Our History

Penketh Gymnastics Club was set up in 2006 following the closure of another local club some of our coaches were part of. We started classes in Penketh High School with a just a few coaches and a small group of children. We quickly outgrew the school and had been looking for our own facility for some time when we were finally able to move into our unit on Guardian Street in April 2017.

We have always been a not for profit organisation so all profits go back into the gym for new equipment, coach education and to buy competition kit. We now have over 400 gymnasts in our classes and squads and are continuing to grow. We can’t wait to see what the future holds!
