Happy new year!
Reminder – classes start back on 3rd January. We don’t have any planned cancellations so please let us know if your child can’t make a class.
Club Membership
2024 club membership is due by the end of January. This is an annual fee paid to the club and is separate to British Gymnastics membership. It is £15 per family for recreational members and £20 per family for full membership (squad gymnasts). If you have a direct debit set up through LoveAdmin, you do not need to do anything. We will send payment requests on 26th January. Please ask if you have any questions.
LoveAdmin Details
Please log into your LoveAdmin account and make sure your child’s details are up to date. It is especially important to make sure that your emergency contact details and your child’s medical information is correct and up-to-date.
Coaching
5 of our junior coaches who have completed their level 1 coaching course in December and just have their exam to go. We also had 2 young leaders complete their helpers course in December. We held a training session on 29th December for our young leaders and young coaches to go through progressions and safe supporting skills as well as safeguarding and building rapport with gymnasts and parents. If you are interested in trying coaching, judging or volunteering at events this year, please let us know.
Club Events 2024
We have a few events pencilled in at the club in 2024. Please save the date for now and we will be in touch with details soon.
- Club competition(all levels) – 20/21 April
- Summer display (all levels) – 7th July
- Club competition (recreational and 2 piece) – 17th November
Squads may be invited to take part in competitions outside the club. We have gymnasts taking part in NW grades and GymFusion Manchester in February. Keep an eye on our socials for updates about how they get on.
Social Media
We have several social media accounts that we put reminders, information and achievements on. On Facebook, we have a closed group, ‘Penketh Gymnastics Club Members Group’ that you have to request to join and ‘Penketh Gymnastics Club’, a public group. We also have ‘Penketh Gymnastics Club, buy, sell, swap’ for leotards/clothing and gymnastics equipment. We are on Instagram, ‘@penkethgymnasticsclub’.
