Summer Holidays
We do not have any planned cancellations over the summer. Please let us know if your child is going to miss classes over the summer, especially if it’s 3 or more in a row. It helps us to know how many children to expect in each class so we can plan how many coaches we need. We have had a week of holiday clubs so far and the children have been having a lot of fun and learning new things. We have lots more clubs on offer until 20th August. We are very excited about the range of activities and clubs on offer. Please book your child onto any summer clubs they want to attend as soon as possible to avoid missing out as some clubs are already fully booked.
New admin assistant
Our business manager, Catherine, left in July. We now have a new admin assistant, Leah. Any emails to admin@penkethgymnastics.co.uk will now go through to Leah. Thank you to Catherine for all her hard work and a big welcome to Leah!
20th anniversary merchandise and leotards
The preorders for our new 20th anniversary leotard have now closed. We will be putting the order in and will let you know when they arrive. We have some 20th anniversary t-shirts, vests, hoodies and zoodies available from our Top Print shop now. Please see the link below for more details.
Celebrating 20 years PenkethGymnasticsClub
British Championships
We have a group booking for the British Gymnastics Championships at M&S bank arena in Liverpool. The booking is for Saturday 20th March 2027. Some of our members have already requested tickets but we have some remaining. We have 7 adult tickets and 9 children’s tickets, priced at £64.20 for adults and £42.80 for children. The event starts at 10.15am and runs until around 5pm but exact times will be confirmed closer to the time. It will be the British Men’s and Women’s senior all around finals that day. You can leave and come back during the event and there are plenty of food and drink/leotards/merchandise options in the arena or nearby, as well as famous gymnast spotting! Please let us know if you are interested in buying tickets from us and we will send the details.
Gymfusion
Well done to our GymFusion group who performed a Latin style routine at the GR8 Xtreme Showcase on 19th July. You can see photos from the day as well as a video of the routine on our members Facebook group.
Cartwheel challenge fundraiser
On 5th July, we had a challenge, where we were trying to achieve 2006 cartwheels in a day. This was to celebrate our 20th anniversary as the club started in 2006. We smashed our target of 2006 cartwheels and actually achieved 2550! We also raised £2950.05 for club funds, which will go into new equipment and coach/judge training. Congratulations to Ella O-S who raised the most (£230!). She has won a 20th anniversary T-shirt from Top Print. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the club and to those who have donated money. We are in the process of planning a 20th anniversary party for November so will be in touch with more information about that soon.
