December 2023 Newsletter
Onesie week
Onesie week is running 3rd-9th December. Children are allowed to come in wearing onesies or pyjamas (with leotard underneath). We ask that you send in a tombola donation or chocolate/alcohol we can use in a hamper for the raffle. We will be taking pictures of the groups in their outfits and putting them on our Facebook group so please make sure you are a member.
Christmas party
We are very excited that able to run our Christmas party again this year. The party is taking place at Penketh Conservative Club, Meeting Lane on 10th December, 1-4pm. The event is now sold out but please let us know if you’d like to join the waiting list to be notified if a place comes up. Children must be accompanied by an adult but adults do not need a ticket. Each child will also receive a gift at the party. We are asking everyone to bring a plate of food. See the list on the front desk for what we are asking for. We will have several stalls at the party, including face painting, tom bola, colouring and tattoos, as well as entertainment and music from the DJ. Please bring cash for the stalls. We hope to see you all there!
Christmas holidays
We are going to have 2 weeks off our recreational classes over Christmas. Our last classes before we break up will be on Tuesday 19th December and classes will resume on Wednesday 3rd January. Squads may have some extra training over the Christmas period. If your child is in a squad, their coach will let you know their plans for the Christmas holidays. We are running some Christmas fun sessions on 21st and 22nd December. You can book these on LoveAdmin, in ‘courses’. Perfect for getting those last minute jobs done!
Club competition
Well done to everyone who took part in the Vault into Christmas competition on 26th November. We were so proud of all the children who took part. The ages ranged from our reception children up to 16 years old and we had a mix of children who come for 1 hour per week up to some squad gymnasts doing up to 9 hours. We hope everyone enjoyed it. We will have some pictures on the noticeboard soon to show some of the children who took part.
Club membership
2024 club membership is due by the end of January. This is an annual fee paid to the club and is separate to British Gymnastics membership. It is £15 per family for recreational members and £20 per family for full membership (squad gymnasts). If you have a direct debit set up through LoveAdmin, you do not need to do anything. We will send payment requests on 26th January. If you do not have a direct debit set up, you will need to transfer the payment by the end of the month. Please ask if you have any questions.
