Happy new year!

Reminder – classes start back on 5^th January. We don’t have any planned cancellations so please let us know if your child can’t make a class.

Big year for Penketh Gymnastics Club!

2026 marks our 20^th anniversary of opening. We are planning some celebratory events and merchandise so look out for more details in the next few months!

Phone policy

Our new phone policy comes in from 1^st January. You can see the details of the policy attached, as well as in the email from Catherine on 12^th December. Mobile phones must not be used in the gym unless prior approval has been given by management. If your child needs to bring their phone with them, it needs to be left on silent in their bag. Gymnasts are not allowed to do any filming or taking photographs in the gym. We have a new club phone, which will be used to contact you in an emergency. You can also use this number to contact the coaches (text or WhatsApp preferred). Here are the numbers you may need;

JoinIn details

Please log in to your JoinIn account and make sure your child’s details are up to date. It is especially important to make sure that your emergency contact details and your child’s medical information is correct and up-to-date. If you are unable to log in you may need to ‘Reset your password’ the link to reset will be sent from no-reply@loveadmin.com and may go to your junk/spam.

New qualifications

Congratulations to Imogen and Isobel, who have passed their level 1 coaching exams. They will continue in the classes they have been helping in but are now able to take their own group.

Club events 2025

We have a few events pencilled in at the club in 2026. Please save the date for now and we will be in touch with details soon.

• Under the Sea competition (all levels) – 18/19^th April
• Summer display (all levels) – 5^th July
• Vault into Christmas competition (recreational and 2 piece) – 22^nd November

Squads may be invited to take part in competitions outside the club. We have gymnasts taking part in NW grades and GymFusion Manchester in February. You can see how they get on on our social media updates.

Award scheme assessment weeks

We have scheduled our assessment weeks for 2026. They are;

• 9-14^th February – assessment week 1
• 4-9^th May – assessment week 2
• 13-18^th July – assessment week 3
• 21-26^th September – assessment week 4
• 30^th November – 5^th December – assessment week 5
