March 2026 Newsletter

Under the Sea competition

We are holding our annual recreational, 2-, 3- and 4-piece competition at the club on 18/19th April. Recreational levels/set routines are going to be on Saturday 18th and squads and routines to music on Sunday 19th. Entries are going to be opening via JoinIn on 4th March. The closing date is 25th March so please make sure you get your entry in. We cannot accept any late entries. Entry fees will be charged with April fees regardless of when you submit the entry. We will be posting reminders on our social media and WhatsApp broadcast group so please make sure you are following us.

Fees

We are in the process of reviewing our fee structure. We are not planning on increasing the monthly fee for 1 hour per week but there are likely to be some small increases in the fees for children doing more than one hour per week. We will confirm new fees as soon as possible and inform you via email.

Earrings

We still have a lot of children coming in wearing earrings. We follow British Gymnastics jewellery policy, which says that earrings must be removed. You can cover them up with microporous tape for the first 6 weeks. Parents are responsible for covering up or removing earrings before your child’s class. We cannot guarantee there will be microporous tape in the gym so please don’t rely on us to provide this and the coaches to put the tape on.

Grades, competitions and GymFusion

Well done to all the gymnasts who took part in GymFusion, NW preparation grades and development grades during February. The 15 grades gymnasts all passed their grades with 2 achieving ‘working at’, 12 achieving ‘working above’ and 1 gaining a ‘working beyond’ level. Well done also to the advanced recreational gymnasts who took part in the Edge Hill invitational on 28th February.  For full results from all these competitions, please see our pictures and reports on our socials. Good luck to our 2 performance 1 gymnasts taking part in Teddies and Tiaras on 15th March.  Our GymFusion team took part in GymFusion Manchester on 1st February. They performed their routine beautifully and had some great comments. You can see the Wicked inspired routine on our social media too.

Car park

Please remember that you must park in spaces that say 4 on them. Unit 5 have ANPR cameras and will fine anyone who parks there, so please do not park in their spaces. If our front car park is full (which sometimes happens in class changeover times), you can use any spaces at the back up to the skip.  Please also use the one way system to exit the car park.  Please go past unit 5 and round the back to help with the flow of traffic.

Building works

We are having the front and back doors widened on 3rd-5th March. The work will be done before 4pm each day so classes should be running as normal but just prewarning everyone in case anything is different.

Upcoming club closures

We are going to be closed on Good Friday (3rd April) and Easter Monday (6th April).  Apart from these dates, we are open as normal.

Assessment week

Well done to the children who completed a level or achieved ticks for their level at our assessment week. All updates are now on JoinIn. Our next assessment week will be 4-9 May.
