Competitions

During September, some of our squad gymnasts took part in external competitions. The NW Tin level competition was on 14th September and the Milano Invitational was on 27/28th September. We had 14 gymnasts in NW Tin and 18 in the Milano Invitational. Our gymnasts have earned lots of medals, awards and trophies in these competitions. Please see our social media for results. There were also personal achievements, such as competing a level for the first time, doing a new skill and being a kind team mate.   In October, we have a few more competitions.  Bronwen is competing in the NW Copper competition this weekend.  We then have a mini competition at the club 12th October for children working towards their first grade and gymnasts working towards 4 piece competitions. We also have 8 gymnasts competing in the NW Zinc competition on 25/26th October. Good luck to all! Please let us know if you’re interested in coming to watch and we will send you more information.

NSPCC Safe in Sport Week

NSPCC Safe in sport week is 6th -12th October so please look out for posts on our socials and a blog on the website.

Christmas Dates

We are planning our annual Christmas party for 7th December 1-4pm. It’s at Penketh and Sankey Conservative Club on Meeting Lane. We will let you know when tickets go on sale. Please let us know if you can offer any raffle prizes or know any companies who can help. Our last class before Christmas will be Saturday 20th December and first class back 5th January. We will let you know nearer to the time if there are any holiday clubs or extra training available over the holidays.

New Qualifications

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Moira, who have requalified as club judges. We have had a few changes in coaches this month, including welcoming a new coach. Helena has now joined our Tuesday recreational coaches.   If you’re interested in coaching or judging, or would like to know more about what’s involved, please contact us.
