Holiday clubs
We had an amazing time in our extra classes over the summer. We did handstand and cartwheel workshops, school starters tasters and full/half day holiday clubs. We awarded over 50 award scheme medals and certificates over the summer! Thanks to everyone who attended. We will let you know about October half term as soon as we can.
British Gymnastics Membership
British Gymnastics membership is due for renewal in September. This is for all members, regardless of when they started. You should get an email about how to renew. It is £22 for recreational gymnasts and squad gymnasts competing in 2-piece competitions and £60 squad gymnasts competing in 4-piece regional competitions and/or grades. Your child’s membership expires on 30th September so you should renew it before then to make sure they continue to be insured.
New starters
We have 25 new starters in September who are starting reception. A lot of these have been through our preschool classes and/or have been to our taster sessions over the summer. Several of our classes have waiting lists now so please make sure you let us know if there are any changes or if your child is no longer attending. If you are coming for the first time, please remember not to come into the gym too early. You can come in 5 minutes before your child’s class or wait upstairs in our parents’ room if you are earlier than that. You are also welcome to wait in the parents’ room upstairs while your child does their class. You can come in and watch for the last 5-10 minutes. Please make sure your child knows they shouldn’t come over to you until the coaches say it’s ok. When using the car park, please remember to park in the spaces provided. When leaving, you should use our one-way system and exit past the unit next door round the back.
November competition
We are very excited to be holding another competition at our club on 26th November. This is a floor and vault competition, so not for our 4-piece squad gymnasts, but all our recreational and 2-piece gymnasts can take part. Entry will be via LoveAdmin. Entries will open on 7th October and close on 4th November. As usual, we cannot accept any late entries. Children will start working on the routines in the next few weeks.
Christmas dates
We are planning our Christmas party for 10th December 1-4pm. We will confirm the venue and date in the next month so you can keep the date free. Our last class before Christmas 19th December and first class back 3rd January. We will let you know nearer to the time if there are any holiday clubs or extra training available over the holidays.
