‘Paris comes to Penketh’ competition
Our 2-day ‘Paris comes to Penketh’ competition ran on the 20th and 21st April. The competition was a fantastic success and all the gymnasts performed brilliantly. We were thrilled to give away over 200 participation medals as well as plenty of gold, silver and bronze medals. We also gave out coaches and judges special awards for the first time, as well as number awards and artistry awards. We welcomed 3 other clubs to our competition, Rochdale, Wigan and Knowsley. A huge thank you to all the judges, coaches, helpers and parent volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without you. Gymnasts from the Saturday don’t forget you can still purchase your photos from DE Photos – www.dephoto.biz/sarahpgc. We have already been able to buy some new equipment, including 2 new beams, a mat and new vault sections.
Reminders
Please remember the following when bringing your child to gymnastics;
- Hair must be tied back
- Earrings must be removed or covered with microporous tape before the class
- You can come in 5 minutes before your child’s class starts. Coaches are not always available before the class time but please let us know if you have any questions or problems before the class starts
- If your child is settled in the class, it’s better if you can go upstairs to our parents room for at least some of the class. If you leave the premises, please make sure your child’s medical information and emergency contact numbers are up to date. You can come back in 5 minutes before the end of the class to see what your child has been doing.
- Our car park is one way. When you leave, please go round the back of unit 5 to enable the flow of traffic. Some of the other businesses on the industrial estate go round the other way, which has caused a few problems in the past few weeks. There isn’t a straightforward solution to this and problems are rare but please be patient with other drivers on the estate.
