Holiday clubs
We have our last few Whit holiday clubs next week. We have tumble club at 1-4pm on Tuesday 3rd June and a bars and beam workshop at 1-4pm on Wednesday 4th June. Booking is on the Join In shop. We are finalizing our summer holiday clubs soon so please keep looking out for information on our social media and posters in the gym.
Summer Display
Entries for our summer display have closed. We have 27 routines, which we are going to organize into 3 shows. We will be sending out timings, clothing information and spectator ticket booking within the next week. We are very excited for the children to be able to show you what they have been working hard to learn. The summer displays are on Sunday 6th July.
**NEW** Mini Rec
Mini Rec is a coach-led gymnastics class designed especially for gymnasts age 3+. The classes are on Tuesdays at 4pm and 5pm and coached by Jacqui. It’s the ideal next step for little ones ready to move on from our preschool free play sessions but not quite old enough for our full recreational programme. Spaces are available now and a trial is just £7, complete an enquiry form to book!
International Handstand Day
It’s International Handstand Day on 25th June. Please send in your handstand pictures and we’ll pick a winner to receive a tuck shop voucher. If you don’t want the picture shared on social media, please let us know when you send it in. Email admin@penkethgymnatics.co.uk
Bracelets
We are looking for bracelet donations to sell as a fundraiser for the club. If you’ve got a crafty gymnast who is happy to make and donate some bracelets, they will be gratefully received. They will be sold at the summer display so we need any bracelets by the end of June please. 💜
1-2-1 lessons
Private lessons are now available to book on the website. If you’d like a different coach or day, please email Catherine.
Hannah Whelan competition
We are very proud of all the gymnasts who took part in the Hannah Whelan 2 piece invitational on 24th May. Our 11 gymnasts worked really hard in the run up to the competition and we came away with lots of medals. Well done to gymnasts and coaches!
UK Coaching Week and UK Volunteers Week
2-8 June is both UK Coaching Week and UK Volunteers Week. We are very lucky to have fantastic coaches and volunteers at our club. Thank you to the young leaders, judges, committee members and parent helpers who give up their free time to help the club develop. Please keep an eye on the socials for #PassItOn advice from some of our coaches next week too!
